EFFECTS OF STRESS ON YOUR BODY

Stress is a psychological disturbance or damage caused to an organism by adversed circumstances. It can be physical, emotional or psychological strain. Everyone experiences stress from time to time in different stages of life.

According to statistics, it shows that about 33% feel extreme stress, 77% of people experiences stress that affect their physical health while about 73%of people have stress that impact their mental health. Stress can be caused when one loses their loved ones, sickness or stress for work.

Stress van cause serious damage to your body as well as body tissues. Stress affects the one’s respiratory and cardiovascular system. When you are under stress, your heart pumps faster and stress hormones causes your blood vesse6to vasoconstrict and supply more oxygen to the muscles so that you may have strength to take action. However, this act raises your blood pressure. Frequent chronic stress will make your heart to overwork for so long and therefore, your life is at risk for having a stroke or heart attack.

Stress also affects your digestive system. When you are stressed up, your live produces extra glucose to boost up your energy. When you’re under chronic stress, your body may not be able to keep up with excess glucose produced hence it may increase the risk for developing type two diabetes.

Stress can also lead to depression. When you’re under extreme stress, you may got depressed as you lack solution to your problems.

Many people in the world today who have experienced stress end up depressed and have no choice other than terminating their lives . Stress cana also cause servere headaches when not properly handled.
