Uganda Police Spokesman Fred Enanga confirmed that they are closing in on one suspect following the twin bombs that rocked Kampala earlier today.
Enanga revealed that the police have apprehended a suspect at Nakasongola with an Improvised Explosive Device before it was detonated.

The first explosive went off on Parliament Avenue while the next in quick succession went off near CPS Police Station. In both instances the homemade bombs exploded inside moving cars and claimed first casualties as the suicide bombers. Three other people died on the spot while close to thirty have been hospitalized.
Already the Islamic extremist wing of the western-Uganda based UDF are being fingered as having carried out the attacks.
Neighbouring states including Kenya which shares wide swathes of boundary with Uganda are on high alert.
Uganda has been prone to frequent terrorist attacks with some believing that it’s involvement in the Somali war could be to blame.
