Above and below: participants of the awareness workshop in Nyandarua on Tuesday.
The exercise held at the CDF Hall Ol- Kalou was presided over by Nyandarua County Police Commander Mr. Omar Arero CP.
CP Arero said: ” The session was one among many called to emphasize the role of boda boda operators and SACCOs in community policing while underscoring the need for partnership with the National Police Service in fighting crime. They were also sensitized on the need for volunteering information to assist the police during investigations.”

The Bodaboda sector has been accused of harboring characters of questionable integrity.
The unwieldy Bodaboda sector has been accused of abetting crime by providing speedy transportation to and from scenes of crime. In 2021 the sector threatened to become a law unto themselves prompting then Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i and the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to launch a countrywide crackdown which saw hundreds of Bodaboda impounded and dozens of riders arrested.
