Dr. Miguna Miguna.

Kenyans on Twitter have been wondering where the self-proclaimed General had disappeared to after he made known his intention to succeed the doyen of Kenya’s opposition politics Raila Amollo Odinga.

Miguna Miguna was vociferous and spewed a lot of vitriol against former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Odinga while exiled in Canada. When President William Ruto ascended to the office he made good on a Kenya Kwanza campaign promise to bring back home Dr. Miguna Miguna.

Once he arrived in the country Miguna’s only hope had been a state appointment. Word had gone around that he would be appointed a legislator to the East African Legislative Assembly EALA. Seemingly that appointment is not forthcoming and the insufferable general might soon be consigned into oblivion.

His shortcomings notwithstanding Dr. William Samoei Ruto is a shrewd operative who may not engage a person such as Miguna Miguna who has proved himself disrespectful of Raila Amollo Odinga who initially brought him into the national limelight.

It is Raila Amollo Odinga who launched Dr. Miguna Miguna’s political career [if at all he has one] through the infamous People’s President swearing-in ceremony held at Uhuru Park on 30 January 2018.
