The Secretary General of Kenya’s ruling party United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Cleophas Malala, has launched the “UDA Party Anthem Competition,” open to choirs and individual composers from all regions in Kenya.
Malala, on Sunday morning, encouraged talented Kenyans to participate in the competition which will see the winner/s go home with the ultimate prize of Ksh.3 million.
The competition is open to entrants from Nairobi, Central, Coast, Eastern, Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley, and North Eastern regions.
Interested candidates have been urged to contact the party as competition guidelines, including submission details and deadlines, are expected to be released.
The President William Ruto-led party is on a charm offensive to recruit more members ahead of its national elections set for December 2023.
The election, Ruto said, aims to make UDA a national outfit with representations from diverse ethnic communities.
