A BodaBoda rider was robbed of a phone he was delivering near Diamond Plaza in Nairobi on Wednesday.
The rider, who did not want to reveal his name, said he was hired by a customer to deliver the phone.
However, along the journey, someone snatched the phone and ran away.
The rider reported the incident to the security guards at Diamond Plaza, but they surprisingly refused to help him.
They also denied him access to the CCTV footage which he is convinced captured the thief in action.
He now suspects that the lack of cooperation from the plaza management suggests the guards knew the thief and were actively protecting him.
The victim has since reported the incident to police and appealed to the public to help push the Diamond Plaza management to release the footage and help him recover the lost phone.
