“Am still in office untill 2022 and am not in a position to know what position I will run for come 2022 . However, there is no law that stops me from defending my current seat in 2022 general elections even though am ready for any position. available.
As the Woman Rep, with very little National Goverment Affirmative Action Funds established in 2016, am proud to say that I have performed pretty well with the fund. For instance, I have constructed a total of 7 markets and undertaken several other projects as well in the six Sub Counties I represent as follows: GEM: Onding market (E Gem) and Nyangeso in (N Gem), Constructed Ulumbi P School library (Yala township), provided 50 beds to Ndere Polytechnic (N Gem) and 50 beds to Mutumbu Girls Sec School ( N Gem);
UGUNJA: Yuaya Market (Sigomre) and Nyasanda Library (Ugunja);
UGENYA: Awendo Market and another Market to begin Sept 2020, ALEGO: Got Oyenga Market (N Alego) and a second one to start in Usonga 2020, supported the construction of a girls hostel at Obambo Girls Sec School with Ksh 500,000/, gave Ksh 500,000 Nyakongo P School (S E Alego) for fencing, repair and improvement of delapidated classrooms.
BONDO: Wagusu market and Mageta island market, Constructed a girls dometory at Kapiyo mixed Sec School and furnished it with 200 beds for boarders.
RARIEDA: Ndigwa Market and Second one will be built in 2021, supporting construction of a girls hostel at Mirando Sec School, did electrical wiring of Kobong Community hall. (2) Distributed a total 99 water tanks of 6 thousand liters in all the 30 wards in Siaya County with each ward obtaining 3 water tanks. These tanks were distributed in Schools, Health Centers and Markets. (3)Distributed beds and food to 12 orphanages in Siaya County, (4) Have distributed cheques of Ksh 200,000/ to at least 200 Women, Youth and PLWD Groups to promote their business and table banking activities, (5) Provided bursaries to over 200 students in Form One to Universities (6) Provided Value Addition Funds to several women, Youth and PLWD Groups engaged in Cottage Industries. Such groups include Mor Gem, Sigomre Children’s with disability Home for their basket weaving project and those making honey, Soap, bricks and fishing. In the wake of Covid 19, I have provided 52 hand washing water tanks and sanitizers in 52 Bodaboda stages in the county.
Next week, I will be distributing 1, 300 blankets to flood victims in Alego Usonga, Ugenya and Bondo. I hope to do more for the people of Siaya before 2022. Politically, Kenya is doing well. With President Uhuru and the People’s President Hon Raila Amollo Odinga, Kenya is happier and more peaceful. I look forward to the referendum coming soon and a better and all inclusive constitution put in place before 2022. Sending you pictures of my projects.”
