Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday took an early morning stroll through the streets of Kisumu ahead of a day when President Ruto had a string of engagements in the city.
The Deputy President has popularized his early morning jousts with the memorable one being that morning when he arrived in office under a drizzle at dawn with the photographer and handler being rained on as they escorted him in the shade of an umbrella.
“This morning, I had an invigorating morning walk around the beautiful City of Kisumu ahead of President William Ruto’s busy working day from the lakeside City. The embracing cool and refreshing breeze from Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in Africa, is a good reminder of the great natural resources we are endowed with. The brisk walk took me through the streets of the City and it was rejuvenating seeing hundreds of early risers, up and about making a living as they build the nation. Indeed, Kisumu Dala!”, Gachagua tweeted
