Gossip columnists in Kenya’s leading daily newspapers have been circling around the identity of a senior Nyanza Politician who is reputed to be spoiling his youngish side-chick with lavish weekend parties at a particular joint in Westlands, Nairobi.
Although the said politician does not attend the parties in-person owing to the huge age difference the youngsters orbiting around the girlfriend are so grateful for the sumptuous parties that they are already praying he gets a second term in office.
Our mole has revealed the identity of the girlfriend as one Ruth Mueni, a former employee of State House, Nairobi. She has a baby with the politician who should be about 6-7 months now. The baby was named Jakaya Kikwete by the politician who has a distinguished political record but is known lately to be subsiding into alcoholism.
The politician bought her a house in Kilimani directly using county funds. When she was due for delivery, her bills at Agha Khan Hospital, Nairobi were settled using the same county funds.
The mole went on to whisper that the CECM for Trade in the county in question is also seeing this senior politician on the side.
