Police in Migori County are investigating the death of a man who died by suicide in his house in North Kanyajuok on Wednesday, a few hours after visiting his sick wife in hospital.

According to the area chief David Onyango, the man who was in his 60s was found dead inside the house of his younger wife who is hospitalized at Rongo Sub-County Hospital. He hung himself.

Onyango said the deceased’s family members became suspicious after they failed to see him up early as usual and discovered his body in the house in the midmorning.

The area chief said the family indicated that the man looked disturbed from the time he came from the hospital after visiting his sick wife.

Onyango appealed to members of the public to pursue other ways of addressing their challenges.
