In a statement, the utility firm said the power outage affecting two counties is part of routine maintenance and will last between five to six hours.
“Good evening. The following areas will be affected by planned maintenance tomorrow 20.10.2023,” Kenya Power wrote.
The two affected counties are Siaya and West Pokot.
In West Pokot, a power outage will run for six hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Affected areas include Ortum, Sina and Sigor and adjacent areas.
On the other hand, blackouts in parts of Siaya County will run for five hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The affected areas include Dominion Farm and Biyogo Farm as well as adjacent customers.
