Two Form Four students at Karigini Day Mixed Secondary School in Tharaka Nithi have died following an incident of ethanol consumption at the school’s laboratory.
The Form Four candidates at are said to have ingested the ethanol from the laboratory during a rehearsal for the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Schools (KCSE) Examination.
Seven other students out of 13 who, allegedly consumed the ethanol have been rushed to hospital.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations are set to begin on Monday, October 23.
