Dorcas Gachagua Wears Nightgown at a Daylight Photoshoot in Germany

Pastor Dorcas Gachagua and husband, Kenya’s Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are in Germany for one important mission or the other.

In his official Twitter page the DP’s publicity team has been posting photos with inane captions including one simply stating – walking down the street in Germany.

Germany is a country and its not yet clear what city the streets may be located.

That aside the latest gaffe was one post yesterday where Dorcas Gachagua appeared alongside her husband in broad daylight wearing a nightgown. Perhaps if it were cold the mistake could be forgivable but our informant states it was not particularly cold on the date of the photoshoot.

The Gachagua’s have had a steep time of adopting to their new status in terms of dress code. The DP was a focus of media ridicule for a long time before he found a couturier that is now fitting him out in decent suits.

In the meantime Kenyans are wondering whether it’s necessary to document this walks down the streets in foreign countries.

On returning home from a foreign country President Dr William Samoei Ruto was hard-pressed to justify the costly missions as being a part of the mandate of the presidency. According to the Comptroller of Budget the Office of the President spent a whooping KES 831 million on fuel for local travel alone. You can imagine what these incessant foreign missions cost the Exchequer.

Responding to the Gachagua’s post of walking down the street in Germany, a Twitter user sarcastically posted:

I love this post , I showed this post to my family they also loved this post, we bought a projector and showed this post to the whole neighborhood and they also loved this post , our lives have changed bcos of this post, we are grateful to you for this post , thank you so much

It took time to get Mr. Rigathi Gachagua looking anything other than an influential farmer from central Kenya. Similar effort may be required to educate pastor Dorcas Gachagua on etiquette.

Otherwise the old adage remains: you can remove a man from the village, yet you can’t remove the village from the man!
