In a report released on Tuesday, West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin came in third with 67 percent, while Simba Arati (Kisii), Irungu Kang’ata (Murang’a), Jeremiah Lomurkai (Turkana) and Mutula Kilonzo (Makueni) tied at position four with 64 percent.

The survey poll also rated governors who had improved from the past with Governor Gladys Wanga moving from position 45 to position 1 while her Trans Nzoia Counterpart George Natembeya moved from 42 to 1. Embattled Meru Governor Kawira MwAngaza moved from 38 to 8 in the ranking despite her tribulations.

“A lot of women governors are doing well because the majority of female governors are leading in the list of top 25 performing governors. They are quite effective as administrators,” Ambitho added.
