Police in Rachuonyo East, Homa Bay County, have launched investigations over the mysterious death of a 45-year-old man who died at a local bar within Ringa trading center on Tuesday night.
The man, since identified as Kennedy Onyango, is reported to have collapsed and died on the spot when he was drinking alcohol at the bar together with his friends at about 8pm.
Kawere sub-location Assistant Chief Juma Ondoro said foam could be seen around the deceased’s mouth after he had died.
The administrator said they have taken some samples of the alcohol that the man and his friends were drinking for a test.
The matter has since been handed over to Rachuonyo East sub-county police who have launched investigations to establish the exact cause of death.
The body has been taken to Rachuonyo South Level IV hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
