A frontrunner in the contest for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party Siaya leadership Maurice Orondo aka Mc’Orondo was today engaged in the distribution of balls at Ahindi Gardens.
Also present at the event was the immensely popular contestant for the Youth Representative seat Steven Charles better known as Otada Sirkal.
“Now that the schools have closed we want to encourage the youth and others in the transportation sector to concentrate on sporting activities so that they may not be driven to experimenting with prohibited substances,” said Mr. Mc’Orondo.
He also reiterated his early stand that UDA Party was a safer bet for the youth in Siaya urging them to come out and register as members of the party in large numbers.
Taking a swipe at the Siaya branch of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Mc’Orondo said he had found peace, at long last:
“Here is a party where leadership is not awarded to octogenarians who sometimes are not even capable of mounting a stage but vibrant people with energy and enthusiasm to serve.”
The balls that were supplied were branded with UDA Party logo.
