A Police Officer spent Wednesday night in the cold confines of Kapenguria Police Station cells after being arrested for abducting a form four candidate.
Confirming the incident West Pokot sub-county Officer Commanding Police Division, Kipkemboi Kirui siad that Corporal James Njuguna had locked a 17-year old school girl inside his house at Keringet Police Station.
The form four candidate had gone missing on Monday and the father filed a report at the police station that her daughter was missing.
The locals then tipped off the sleuths that the girl was being hidden in the officer’s house. The officer is believed to have been defiling the school girl.
Although there appears to have been a case of mutual consent the two were arrested and presented to the Kapenguria DCI for further questioning.
Medical tests have since been conducted confirming the two had sex but the minor has refused to speak over details of what was happening in the house with the officer. She told the police that she was 21 years despite her birth certificate showing that she is 17.
The duo are being processed to be arraigned in court.
