As part of his security visit in the Eastern Region, the Director DCI Mr Mohamed Amin yesterday visited Kalama Camp in Samburu County.
The Camp houses a Multi-Agency team that comprises the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the APS, Kenya Police Service, DCI, KRA and KBS.
The team has been at the forefront of the fight against drug trafficking, human trafficking, exploitation of sandalwood, and cattle rustling among other crimes in the region.
The joint teams have on various occasions secured seizures of cannabis, guns, grenades and ammunition in the wrong hands & tonnes of sandalwood, besides botching human trafficking missions by transnational organized criminals.
While addressing them, Mr Amin lauded them for the commendable job, further emphasizing the need to enhance the multi agency cooperation for even better results.
