ODM supporter Nuru Maloba Okanga has finally been charged in a Kiambu Law Court. Okanga was arrested yesterday morning by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at his residence in Nairobi City.
According to the latest information Okanga was this morning charged with uttering abusive and insulting words towards the person of the Head of State Dr. William Samoei Ruto.
In the charge-sheet the ODM diehard was accused of two counts. The first count entails providing misleading information contrary to Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act No. 5 of 2018.
The second count of his arrest entails directly insulting words that were uttered on November 20, 2023, where he abused the Head of State, saying, “Ruto, you are an idiot, stupid! Umetoboka akili…” Four witnesses were mentioned.
