The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) plans to hold a consultative meeting with Governors and their deputies to formulate partnerships that would enhance fight against graft in counties.

EACC director Vincent Okongo, says they want to form strong partnership with the office of the governors.
As a start, the commission will have sessions to sensitize the leaders on matters of corruption with focus on remission strategy.
Okongo while training County executives from Vihiga, Siaya and Kisumu on Corruption Prevention strategies said they were equipping the executive with skills and the know-how to detect graft and prevent it at the early stages.

“We seek to reach out to governors through the council of governors and deputies through their forum to discuss with them parameters and strategies that would prevent corruption at the counties,” said Okongo.

He at the same time asked counties to form Corruption Prevention Committees (CPC) at the county and departmental level and their names be forwarded to them for capacity building program.
