Siaya Governor James Orengo has urged Kenyans to give Azimio leader Raila Amollo Odinga an audience whenever he touches their territories.

Orengo said Kenyans must uphold political maturity adding that any leader in this country should be given a chance to express matters that concern the Country.

“Raila is a Kenyan who means well for his countrymen and there is nothing wrong when given audience to discuss matters that touch this Country,”

“It’s not a campaign time yet but I urge you to give Raila (Atap Mibei) an audience,” said Orengo.
“It’s not a must to act as per his speech but just give him a listening ear,”.

“At times, listening to speeches of other leaders is important. Do not disrupt them but uphold maturity.

If we are in a situation where we can reason together, we can make a great Nation,” said Orengo.

“So am prepared to be lead, to listen and be part of this country called Kenya,” he said.
Orengo who was accompanied by Bomet Governor Dr Hillary Barchok, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Kericho Governor Eric Mutahi, Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili, Senator Aaron Kipkirui Cheruiyot said divisive politics must not thrive in this country.
He lauded the robust education programmes put in place by Governor Mutahi’s administration saying it’s worth to emulate.

He urged parents whose children performed dismally in the KCSE exams not to humiliate them but to enrol them in technical institutions to gain skills that would sustain their livelihoods.
” those who scored grade D and below also have their space at the polytechnics, VCTs where they shall get skills and technical know-how.

The leader spoke at Kericho Green stadium where a total of Ksh 168 million bursary funds was disbursed to bright and needy students.
“The technical institutions impart technical know-how that drives the engines of Vision 2030 so those joining such institutions do not think you are underprivileged,” said Orengo.
Orengo said a time has come for our children to embrace polytechnics, the gained skills would be key in running the country’s economy.

Mr Mutahi said every grade attained by students secures a space that will see them sustain their families.

Mutahi said they’re coming together as leaders pegged on the Lake region economic bloc and would support initiatives that would transform the lives of residents in their jurisdictions.

“We have committed to work together for the benefit of our people, so going forward, we shall also get to Siaya to not only support their development programs but also for exchange programs.

He added that his administration has elaborate education strategies that will see those who performed dismally get full sponsorship courtesy of the county government.

At the end of the four years, we shall sponsor 12,000 students whose skills will make them self-reliant.
