Yesterday by 10 am in the morning all constituencies in Kenya received their allocation of KES 30 million from the National Government Constituency Development Fund kitty.
By 2pm Ugenya Constituency in Siaya County, Langata Constituency in Nairobi City County and Muhoroni Constituency in Kisumu County had disbursed part of that money to needy students, particularly those joining Form One.
Ugenya Constituency under Member of Parliament David Ochieng had distributed KES 13 million as of the time of going to press.
Muhoroni had specifically disbursed KES 30,000 each to 65 shortlisted students joining Form One in National Schools.
While this was taking place, if you come from the rest of Luo Nyanza, it’s likely your MP was dancing and shouting party slogans in Bungoma and Busia.
