President Dr William Samoei Ruto today held talks with the head of Judiciary, Chief Justice Martha Koome at State House, Nairobi.

The talks come at the heels of a critical confrontation between the Executive and the Judiciary that threatened to disrupt the tenets in the Constitution of the Republic of Kenya.

“The Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary commit to working together to enhance service delivery, tackle corruption and promote the administration of justice. We cannot afford to let narrow, selfish interests to derail the much-needed transformation of our country,” said President Ruto addressing the media at the close of the talks.

Similar sentiments were expressed by Martha Koome. Recently a deluge of accusations have been directed at judges for abetting corruption.

Those who attended the meeting were Chief Justice Martha Koome and her deputy Philomena Mwilu, Attorney General Justin Muturi, National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula and Council of Governor’s (CoG) chair Ann Waiguru.
