Siaya Police Investigating Bizarre Incident of Woman Stabbing Boyfriend to Death

Officers at Aram Police Station in Rarieda Constituency of Siaya County are detaining a woman who was apprehended for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death.

28-year-old Macrine Akinyi Omil is believed to have killed her boyfriend using a kitchen knife at Chianda market in Rarieda of Siaya County.

East Katwen’ga Assistant Chief Esau Okoth Onduru revealed that the late Vincent Odiyo was stabbed in the stomach several times during a quarrel at Macrine’s rented house.

The victim was rushed to nearby Odede Dispensary and thereafter referred to Bondo sub-County Hospital where he was announced dead on arrival.

Police visited the crime scene and recovered a blood-stained kitchen knife which is believed to have been used by the suspect to kill the victim.

Macrine is currently being detained at Aram police station as investigations into the matter continue.
