The Cabinet Secretary for ICT and Digital Economy Eliu Owalo on Thursday joined President Dr William Samoei Ruto in the launch of several digital hubs in Meru as part of the Kenya Kwanza Digital Superhighway agenda.
At Kiirua Technical Training Institute in Buuri constituency, 100 devices were deployed; another 100 were installed at Karumo Technical Training Institute in Tigania West constituency, and an additional 100 at Tigania East Technical and Vocational College. The Digital Hubs aim to provide youth with access to digital skills, e-services, and opportunities for online entrepreneurship and careers.
Other leaders in attendance included Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi, PS ICT Eng. John Tanui, PS TVET Esther Mworia, PS Education Beatrice Inyangala, Forestry PS Gitonga Mugambi, PS Diaspora Roseline Njogu, Buuri MP Mugambi Murwithania Rindikiri, PS Cooperatives Patrick Kilemi, and Tigania West Constituency MP Dr. John Kanyuithia Mutunga.
