The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission on Tuesday arrested two police officers for demanding a bribe from a Bodaboda rider.
PC Charles Ogola and PC Vincent Orwa allegedly demanded KES 4,000 from a motorcycle rider as a condition for releasing his motorcycle which they had impounded and detained at Kanduyi Police Patrol Base in Bungoma County.
The suspects currently held at EACC Bungoma Regional Offices will spend the night at Bungoma Police Station pending arraignment before the Anti-Corruption Court tomorrow, Wednesday.
The remaining suspect, PC Onesmus Kiprop who is still at large, is directed to forthwith present himself to EACC Bungoma Regional Office or any other EACC office Countrywide.
