The West Pokot Deputy Governor Robert Komolle was this morning arrested by Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and taken to regional headquarters in Nakuru for questioning.
The Deputy Governor was arrested alongside Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket on allegations of incitement to violence.
According to reliable sources Kamket was questioned for two hours before and set free with orders to appear before the criminal investigators in two weeks’ time.
However, Robert Komolle is still under custody of the Nakuru DCI with his lawyer Phillip Magal claiming that his client has been denied bond.
The two were summoned by the regional DCI boss Charles Kanyuira to share details relating to investigations on the frequent banditry attacks in the Rift Valley region.
For Robert Komolle this is the first time to appear before the investigators on allegations of incitement to violence.
The Tiaty MP William Kamket is a regular in DCI grillings over incitement to banditry and last month was interrogated for hours at the Kapenguria Police Station.
