“For a whole year, you will only be talking about Raila Odinga,” CS Kuria.
Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Tuesday, March 5, ignited a debate on social media after claiming he wanted to be Raila Odinga when ‘he grew up.’
Mr. Kuria cited the latest developments in the country after Odinga announced that he would be eyeing to replace Moussa Faki as African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson in February 2025.
Odinga has received the backing of President William Ruto and other heads of state in East Africa.
Making reference to the development, Kuria was surprised by the fact that the country would be spending one year talking about Raila Odinga.
“The voting for the Chairperson of the Africa Union Commission will take place in February 2025. For a whole year, you will only be talking about Raila Odinga. When I grow up I want to be Baba,” Kuria stated.
Kuria’s tweet attracted myriads of reactions from netizens. A section of netizens laughed at Kuria’s reaction while others thought that Odinga deserved it.
Here are some of the reactions:
-HE’S A SPECIAL ONE…… people love his genuiness,if he declares Monday is a holiday all government security lorries will be in town supporting the holiday.
He built careers both in Nyanza and mt.kenya….in Nyanza you’ve to submit to him and mt.kenya you need to criticize him.
-The politics of Kenya has been revolving around him from 1997, till today. I also want to be Baba when I grow up.
-Umesema unataka kua Mganga
-A good distraction to Kenya’s current affairs, right? … On the contrary, when I grow up I want to be Ruto. To be in a position to distract Kenyans to have ample time to govern.
-We told you Baba is a WAVE mkakataa.
Baba must be supported by the KK govt even though he lead nationwide demos.
