President Dr William Samoei Ruto who is the Commander-in-Chief of Kenya Defence Forces is currently presiding over the swearing-in of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Vice Chief and Service Commanders.
The event is ongoing at State House, Nairobi and is being witnessed by all the service commanders, CS Defence and CS Internal Security as well as PS Raymond Omollo.
During the solemn ceremony President Ruto said: The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) is a critical institution that facilitates the attainment of our social, political and economic aspirations.
We implore the new leadership to discharge its responsibilities with dedication, patriotism and professionalism, keeping the tradition that defines the KDF, to consolidate Kenya into a more progressive, cohesive and stable country.
Congratulations to our new KDF Commanders!”.
On a lighter note political satirist Gabriel Oguda has been wondering what would become the president today since he is allegedly operating under a curse from Bishop Margaret Wanjiru. Oguda ran a hilarious poll on Twitter yesterday in which over thirty thousand respondents suggested what form the curse should take.
