Claims by televangelist Dr. Prophet David Owuor that God had authorized him to destroy the nation of Kenya but because of some humanitarian considerations he declined to do so has raised serious speculation on the sanity of the purported man of God.
Without a doubt Kenya is a sinful nation but it is farfetched and fanciful to think that the destiny of over 54 Million people would reside in the whims of one individual, prophet or not.
Funnily following this absurd warning by the self-proclaimed prophet a section of Kenyans have emphasized the need for genuine repentance and a return to true worship (whatever that means).
Owuor declared that he possessed the ability to annihilate the entire country but opted to intercede through prayer for mercy instead.
The recent Menengai prayer session, hosted by Owuor, drew a massive crowd that included prominent politicians seeking spiritual guidance and healing. During the gathering, Owuor delivered a sobering message, warning that Kenya faced impending destruction.
“The judgment of God is coming upon this nation,” Owuor stated. “Unless there is repentance and prayer, the wrath of God will fall upon us.”
According to Owuor, he received a divine revelation that granted him the power to utterly destroy Kenya. However, he chose not to exercise this power and instead sought to lead the nation in prayer for forgiveness.
“I have the power to destroy this whole country,” Owuor said. “But I will not do it. I will instead intercede for you and ask God for mercy.”
The prophet’s warning and subsequent call for prayer resonated with many Kenyans, who expressed a desire for spiritual renewal and protection from God. Social media platforms were flooded with messages of repentance and a renewed commitment to true worship.
Dr. Owuor and a number of shrewd televangelists continue to prey on the gullibility of poor Kenyans to mint millions of shillings in return to selling fear and empty promises.
