In what has been termed the Grand Finale and County Rematch, Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro will on Saturday 23, March, 2024 meet all the Kisumu Central sub-County ODM Party officials.

The meeting which is scheduled to start at 9:00 am will take place at Mirok Hotel in the CBD and will provide a fitting end to the six-month ODM Party countrywide recruitment drive.

The Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party recruitment drive sought to redeem the party’s dwindling image and strengthen it ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

According to Party Leader Raila Amollo Odinga the recruitment also aimed at giving an opportunity to Kenyans from across the country to register as new members. By all standards the exercise has been successful.

Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro will grace the meeting in person tomorrow and will likely convey greetings from Party leader Raila Amollo Odinga.

In the meantime, Wiper Democratic Movement leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka this afternoon declared sensationally that Ruto will be a one term president.

Kalonzo was addressing a mammoth crowd at a public rally held in Awendo town, Migori County. The former Vice-president said that the people had declared their stance and the Kenya Kwanza administration should now stay warned.

“The people of Awendo led by Governor HE Dr Ochilo Ayacko have said Zakayo will be a one term president!,” he subsequently wrote on his X account.

His sentiments come at a time when he is strategizing to replace Raila in the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition as the latter moves to the continental stage to replace Moussa Faki as next Africa Union Commission Chairperson.

Present at the function were DAP-Kenya Party leader Eugene Wamalwa, Governor Ochillo Ayacko among others.

In other news, Kenyan doctors have rejected an agreement with the government to resume work as their nationwide strike enters the ninth day.

The strike has so far disrupted medical services in most health facilities across the country.
