In an unexpected turn of events the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party offices in Usenge, Bondo sub-County have been defaced.
The latest opposition has come in Raila’s Bondo backyard, where rowdy youths have defaced the party’s offices. Former Siaya woman representative aspirant Aber Dundee, who rented and painted the office, criticised the actions, terming them retrogressive to the growth of democracy in the country.
Describing it as a politics of intolerance, Dundee denounced the actions of the individuals, adding that they should be allowed to organise their party without interference. “This is totally wrong. The time for politics has passed, and nobody is involved in politics now, we should be allowed to organise ourselves without any interference,” she complained.
Dundee revealed that she had initially been warned by an unnamed female politician over her plans to open the office in the region The former Siaya MP hopeful claimed the lady vowed to deal with her, questioning if her having a different view of issues was wrong.
“She promised to deal with me. Does it mean we are intolerant to different opinions?” she posed. UDA offices in Nyanza suffer same fate Earlier, a video showing moments before Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party supporters torched the UDA party office in Siaya went viral.
In the short video clip shared by Standard Digital, the protesters could be seen barricading a road using iron sheets. However, some of the protesters appeared to take away some of the iron sheets whose origins are yet to be known. In actions similar to the looting experienced when a rowdy group invaded UDA offices in Kisumu, the youths scared away those in the compound before setting it on fire.
