Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili is however optimistic that a peaceful resolution will be found even if Kericho team did not attend Sondu prayers that had attracted leaders from Kisumu and Siaya.

“In have no doubt that peace will reign in Sondu. Orengo had invited me to Kericho where discussion over boundary was done. We planted a seed and expect it to yield long term peace for we share a boundary and friendship is equally supreme,”Owili said

“We are sorry for Sondu residents for bearing the brunt of chaos caused by boundary disputes. We are sure that peace that surpasses understanding will be realized,” said Otiende.

Otiende said they know where boundary was and how the problem started and we can’t allow it to be sustained.
