The Strategy Team for incoming Kisumu Senator Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro was right on time yesterday as they delivered a donation of dozens of purified bottled drinking water during the annual Kobura Community Football Tournament.
The team led by Madam Linda Kadz Kadz presented the donation to Mr. Kari Karan and Mr. Oyoo who is the Chairman of the tournament.
The event took place at Otieno Oyoo High School grounds where a gruelling football match was underway.
Among the focus areas in Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro blueprint is developing youth talent.
“Kisumu County is a hub of sporting talent which if properly nurtured could be a veritable income generating outlet for youth,” Linda Kadz Kadz said during the handing over.
She also reiterated Wakili’s commitment to support the youth in agribusiness and digital ventures as long as they are able to come up with viable proposals.
On his part Mr. Kari Karan thanked Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro for his philanthropic thoughtfulness and added that since Wakili has traversed the whole of Kisumu County and proved his suitability to take up the mantle of leadership, the only thing remaining was for IEBC to declare him Senator come 2027.
