Baroz, who was given the nickname “Psycho,” dumped his victims’ bodies near the New Mexico border after killing them, prosecutors said. He’s also said to have burned their bodies in a pit in a remote area in Los Sauces, which is a small community located south of Alamosa.

His victims were Korina Arroyo, 31, of Monte Vista; Selena Esquibel, 19, of Alamosa; Xavier Zeven Garcia, 24, of Saguache; Myron Martinez, 31, of Del Norte and Shayla Hammel, 34, of Alamosa.

Baroz committed the murders between Aug. 25 and Nov. 13, 2020, as reported by the Denver Gazette. He was arrested in New Mexico in November 2020.

Adre Baroz’s codefendants, 41-year-old Francisco “Pancho” Ramirez and 33-year-old Julius Baroz, also pleaded guilty in connection to the murders. Julius Baroz pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, and Ramirez pleaded guilty to three counts of tampering with a deceased human body.
