Incoming Kisumu Senator Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro yesterday had a breakfast meeting with Kisumu Central ODM Party coordinating committee led by Mr Nyabinda and Jack Kopako at Mirok Hotel in Kisumu County.
The discussions centred on implementation of Watoto Wasome na Wakili supplementary education sponsorship program that is committed to ensuring every child in Kisumu County returns to school as schools reopen countrywide today.
To commemorate the International Mothers Day, Wakili thereafter held social engagements with several women pioneers in various fields.
“Mothers are the backbone of our society, selflessly nurturing, guiding, and inspiring us every step of the way,” said Wakili adding “Their love, sacrifice, and unwavering support shape our lives and communities for better.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to supporting mothers in our community and ensuring they have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.”
Wakili said this even as his women empowerment program in Kisumu County continues to be one of the best managed and most vibrant gender based programs in the whole country.
