BREAKING: Iranian President Raisi, Prime Minister Feared Dead As Red Crescent Finds No Sign of Survivors at Helicopter Wreckage Site

Iranian President Raisi and the officials accompanying him are feared dead after the Red Crescent says it has found “no signs of the helicopter’s occupants being alive” at the crash site.

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent said the rescue teams have reached the site of the crash. And in minutes, the rescue teams are going to reach the wreckage of the helicopter as well.

So now, we are receiving the videos from the rescue teams. They’re saying that the entire cabin of the helicopter is significantly damaged and burned. And they say that as of now, there are no signs of survivors on the site.

Last night Iranian state media issued a report that President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were on board the helicopter that suffered a “hard landing” in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.

Rescuers have been working overnight to reach the site of the accident and this report has been filed by DalanewsKe less than ten minutes from the time the rescuers accessed the wreckage.

DUBAI, May 20 (Reuters) – Hopes are fading that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister have survived a helicopter crash in mountainous terrain and icy weather, an Iranian official said on Monday after search teams located the wreckage.

“President Raisi’s helicopter was completely burned in the crash … unfortunately, all passengers are feared dead,” the official told Reuters.

Rescue teams fought blizzards and difficult terrain through the night to reach the wreckage in East Azerbaijan province in the early hours of Monday.

“We can see the wreckage and the situation does not look good,” the head of Iran’s Red Crescent, Pirhossein Kolivand, told state TV.

“With the discovery of the crash site, no signs of life have been detected among the helicopter’s passengers.”

Raisi, opens new tab, 63, was elected president in 2021, and since taking office has ordered a tightening of morality laws, overseen a bloody crackdown on anti-government protests and pushed hard in nuclear talks with world powers.
