Orengo Hosts Delegations From Nairobi and North Carolina State Universities, Discusses Acquaculture

Siaya Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo today hosted a delegation from the North Carolina State University and the University of Nairobi led by Professor Jose Cisneros, Director of International Programs and Professor of Practice of Entrepreneurship at the NC State University.

According to a post by the Governor on X:

“We explored areas of possible partnership and collaboration including Aquaculture Development in Siaya County and strengthening the County’s Agricultural Extension Services.

The main areas of focus on aquaculture development are improved production of fish through Aquaculture Support Enterprise, restocking of dams, support programs in culture units (cages and ponds) and a functional Fish Hatchery and demonstration centers. #Nyalore”
