Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro was today engaged in disbursement of school fees to several deserving secondary school students in Seme sub-County of Kisumu County.

Those who benefitted were students from Nyamgun Secondary School, St. Paul Bar Korea Secondary School, Rwanda Secondary School, Rapogi Secondary School and Rattan Mixed Secondary School.

The exercise this afternoon was part of the highly impactful “Watoto Wasome na Wakili” scholarship program whose beneficiaries now run into the hundreds. Through careful networking Mr. Nying’uro has been able to identify needy but brilliant students throughout the width and breath of Kisumu County.

Beneficiaries have been awarded full scholarship and contingencies to enable them pursue to completion the four-year secondary school education course.

Wakili’s determination to uplift and empower the less privileged in society now marks him out as a frontrunner in the Kisumu County Senatorial seat. With the incumbent Senator Prof. Tom Ojienda turning his focus on the gubernatorial seat, Mr. Nying’uro now stands heads and shoulders above the rest of the contestants.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the incoming senator for his unwavering dedication to placing education at the helm of his noble leadership, lighting the way for a brighter future for all,” said Musa Ohenga, a resident of the area.
