Stop the Doublespeak and Embrace UDA in Nyanza

Imagine farting when you think you are alone but before the foul smell disappears, someone you hold in high esteem appears; usually you feel like…….

Dennis Onyango is the head of Raila Amollo Odinga’s Press Unit. He doubles as a Spokesperson, majordomo etcetera.

There’s a statement doing rounds on social media signed by Dennis Onyango and  alleging that the bi-partisan delegation of both leaders from the government and the purported opposition accompanying president Ruto to the US are expressly there at the invitation of the US government.

The statement is convoluted in that having made the gross claim (that Gladys Atieno Nyasuna Wanga and James Opiyo Wandayi are in the US at the invitation of the host government) it goes on to acknowledge that it is normal for bi-partisan delegations to accompany a high ranking dignitary on such visits.

So, which is it? Were Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leaders in Ruto’s entourage to the US invited by Joe Biden or are they accompanying president Ruto as a routine and protocol? Either way, why are they embarrassed and avoiding photoshoots when they are already in the US?

Why did Dennis Onyango have to sign a communique of this nature written on Azimio stationery? And did Dennis Onyango actually write this stuff?

As usual we have been snooping around and to our dismay we’ve discovered that lowly influencers attached to Azimio are playing PR by trying to rope-in the US government to an invitation that does not exist.

Even President Ruto is in the US, not expressly at the invitation of POTUS but through Congress.

So when, where and how did Opiyo Wandayi and Gladys Wanga receive their personal invitations? Junet Mohammed, a high-ranking leader in Azimio does not know!

Someone is ashamed that politicians from both factions of the political divide in Kenya are now dilly-dallying and virtually sleeping on the same bed.

The same someone does not care when Azimio leader Raila Amollo Odinga spends quality time at functions hosted by State House nor when James Aggrey Bob Orengo accompanies Ruto to India. That someone is disturbed, however, when Felix Odiwuor Jalango or Elisha Odhiambo and seven other legislators from Nyanza partake of a mere breakfast in State House.

Well, I don’t have a problem with the apparent hypocrisy of this unnamed someone; my problem is with the looming disintegration of the largest single political party in Kenya the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.

ODMs exponential growth is tied in to its forefront position in agitation for civil rights. This it has done conscientiously for two-decades without being swallowed by the party in Government.

The questions we should ask now that ODM is acting funny are:
How many leaders in Ruto’s entourage are from affiliate Azimio parties? Why is it that only ODM Party leaders (particularly from Nyanza) are competing each other in the frequency of their State House visits?
Why are ODM Party leaders from Luo Nyanza ashamed when the public sees them cavorting with Kenya Kwanza?

Has ODM Party sabotaged the principles Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition stood for?

Luo artist Amiso Thwanggo in one of his songs (that should be banned) says something to the effect: nyako marach kiwuotho go to Chief onego chwadi!

Yes, we are watching our hypocrite leaders in ODM and when the time for kiboko comes wabiro chwadou Sawa Sawa.
