Labour Court Overturns Chief Lands Registrar David Nyandoro’s Appointment

Spread the love

Employment and Labour Relations Court has annulled the appointment of David Nyandoro as Chief Lands Registrar.

Justice Byram Ongaya has instructed Lands Principal Secretary Nixon Korir to appoint Dr Peter Mburu Ng’ang’a to the position as initially recommended by PSC last year.

PSC had recommended Dr Mburu (previously a Deputy Lands Registrar) for the role on September 28, 2023, but the recommendation was withdrawn due to an “adverse claim” against him which was made verbally and not verified.

Justice Ongaya ruled that the PSC had no valid reason to rescind Dr. Mburu’s appointment based on an unverified verbal claim.
