KPLC: 5 Counties to Experience Power Blackout Today

The Kenya Power and Lighting (KPLC) has scheduled power interruption Thursday, today in select areas across five counties.

The utility firm said the interruptions will be effected between 9 am and 5 pm.

Counties to be affected include Nairobi, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, Kiambu and Mombasa County.

Nairobi

Areas to be affected in Nairobi include Gesora Road, V Mall, Kijani Court, Empire Court, Quickmart Utawala, Part of Kiguath Road, Shooters, Superking Apartments, Mima Met, Naivas Utawala, Total Petrol Station, Astrol Petrol Station, AP Training School, GSU Training School, Muthokinju Paints, Parts of Eastern Bypass, China Construction Company and adjacent customers.

Nyeri

Parts of Nyeri set to experience power interruption include Mbaaini, Stainer School, Wamagana, Uithirandu, Wamagana Safaricom Booster and adjacent customers.

Tharaka Nithi

Areas to be affected in Tharaka Nithi include the Chogoria County Office, Chogoria Boys, Chogoria Girls, Kamara, Makori Girls, Kabeche, Chogoria KCB and adjacent customers.

Kiambu

Parts of Kiambu to experience power interruption are Ndula, Kilimambogo Teachers, Magogoni, Kiboko Farm, Kenchic, Makutano, Jawabu Quarry, Helena Quarry, Ndula, Delmonte, Rubiru, Fourteen Falls Mkt, Kenchic, Dimken Farm, Duka Moja, Ngoliba Market, Ngoliba Secondary, NYS, Kithimani Market, Kabaa Market, Wings Quarry, Valem, Quarry, Rubiru, Macvast Market, Kwa Jimmy Market, Kabaa Market, Chui Rapids, Kahonoki, Nginyi Pumps and Twin River East.

At the same time, Kangoki, Buffalo East, Kabati, Kwa Magu, Magic Stone Quarry, Budhia Quarry, Nyacaba Police, St. George School, Muthara and Kimuchu are set to experience power interruption in Kiambu.

Ondiri Police, Ondiri Catholic, Karai, Lusigetti Market, Lusigetti Hospital and Nachu will also experience power interruption in Kimabu.

Areas in Kiambu including Riabai, Kirigiti, Migaa, Muhugu Farm, Bwanji Farm, Kiora and adjacent customers will also experience power interruption.

Mombasa

Areas to be affected include Doshi Miritini, Miritini East, Bonje Shell, Mazeras Water, Alpha Logistics Bonje and adjacent customers.
