Police have arrested a taxi driver named Joel Ssenyonga after a woman died in his house.
The shocking event unfolded when Ssenyonga brought the woman to his residence in the Mabaale zone.
The two had met on a roadside, and the woman, a 38-year-old businesswoman, agreed to accompany Ssenyonga to his home for an intimate encounter.
However, during their time together, the woman suddenly became unconscious and died shortly thereafter.
Ssenyonga, in a state of panic, tried to resuscitate her using a piece of wet cloth, but his efforts were unsuccessful.
Faced with the grim reality of her death and unsure of what to do next, Ssenyonga contacted a friend for assistance in disposing of the body.
Unbeknownst to Ssenyonga, his friend decided to alert the authorities instead of helping with the disposal.
The police swiftly responded, arriving at Ssenyonga’s home and arresting him on the spot. The taxi driver is now detained at Kasana Police Station, facing a serious charge of murder.
Neighbours of Ssenyonga have disclosed to the police that he was known for frequently bringing different women to his house. This behaviour, combined with the current incident, has only added to the suspicion surrounding him.
In a related case, a tragic event occurred in Kisumu, Kenya, where a 22-year-old woman was fatally pushed from the balcony of a two-story building.
According to reports, the woman had gone to the house of a man she was involved with, only to find him with another woman.
This discovery led to a heated argument, during which the man allegedly pushed her off the balcony. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The man and the other woman were both arrested and are currently under investigation by the Kisumu police. The police chief, Peter Mulai, confirmed that the suspects would be charged with murder once the investigation is complete.
