A Toyota Porte veered off the road and rolled several times killing its sole occupant instantly.
The accident occurred on the Bondo-Kisumu Road on Tuesday night at a spot facing the Akala dispensary.
The deceased was identified as 34-year-old John Mark Ochieng who is said to have lost control of the vehicle before it spinned out of control.
Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the deceased died on the spot.
“The deceased was on his way from Bondo towards Kisumu general direction. Upon reaching at the scene of the accident, he lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road before rolling severally. He died on the spot,” Kimaiyo told a digital news platform.
The driver is said to have incurred deep cuts on the head which led to profuse bleeding resulting in his death.
Officers from Bondo cleared the scene before moving the body to Bondo sub-County Hospital morgue.
The extensively damaged motor vehicle was towed to Bondo police station.
