Siaya Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo has asked Kenyans to brace for tough economic times in the era of Kenya Kwanza regime.

Orengo said all promises made by the leader of Kenya Kwanza have now turned out to be pipe dreams.

While speaking at the burial of Elder Owino Nyadi at Sidindi Ward of Ugunja Constituency, the governor said the financial instrument that was inked by President Ruto indicates that the country is headed in a wrong direction.

“Yesterday, President Ruto signed some financial instruments which is a clear indicator that the country is headed in the wrong direction. Ruto has shown the world and Kenyans that he is not going to fulfill promises he made to Kenyans especially now that his dream world is no more.”

Orengo further revealed that the president had reached out to MPs to craft a supplementary budget that will eat into the gains achieved so far.

“Ruto has directed MPs to come up with a supplementary budget in which all the allocations and expenditures for Kenya are reduced significantly. So those who entrusted Ruto and his dream team to be aware that pledges made to Mama Mboga or youths won’t be achieved.”

The county boss noted that the country’s politics it’s changing with those who wield power through the public vote now left in fear following the storming of the assembly.

Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi told the MPs not to interfer with KES 415 billion earlier allocated for counties.

“Even if we revise the budget as directed by the president we shouldn’t slash funds meant for Counties,” Wandayi said.

He further urged MCA to ensure they deliver services to the satisfaction of the electorate to tame the blood-baying spirit that is slowly engulfing the Country.

“If you are an MCA and messed up with pledges you made to electorates , you will face the public’s wrath so the early you implement it, the better,” said Wandayi.

The burial was also attended by Azimio leader Raila Amollo Odinga who asked President William Ruto and his lieutenants to give Kenyans a listening ear or else it will get messy.

The recent move by Kenyans to storm parliament is in itself a vote of no confidence from the public themselves, said the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader.
