Since their contracts had not expired each Sacked Cabinet Secretary is entitled to a gratuity payment of KES 2.45 million.

Under intense pressure from Gen Z, President William Ruto dissolved the entire cabinet including the Attorney General. This was one of the demands raised by the Gen Zs.

Among the CSs fired are Ruto hardliners Kipchumba Murkomen, Ababu Namwamba, Kithure Kindiki, Florence Boore, Susan Nakhumicha, Moses Kuria and Peninah Malonza and many others. In total they were 21 Cabinet Secretaries.

The Treasury will therefore part with slightly more than 54 Million in gratuity payments to the 21 sacked senior state officers.

This is taxpayers money. The Gen Z have vowed to question the SRC on why the CSs are being paid the money, yet it is alleged that most of them have been involved in corruption-related practices.

In Nyanza, Ruto hardliner Eliud Owallo has borne the brunt of ridicule as he surrounded himself with the aura of being untouchable.
