The move will enhance the visibility and publicity of projects undertaken by the Nyalore Administration.

The administrators’ primary role is to support the successful execution of these programs.

Mr. Okello said it is crucial that development projects are well-coordinated to maximize their impacts.

“There is a need for agriculture to evolve into agribusiness, for innovations to add value to production, and for enterprises to expand and generate wealth and employment.”

At the same time, Okello stressed the need for administrators to ensure that all county government projects align with the overreaching goal of creating wealth and employment for Siaya residents.

He added that for the public to stay informed, administrators should keep the communication team updated for proper dissemination.

During the meeting with sub-county administrators, Mr. Okello advised against viewing other leaders as rivals. Instead, he encouraged them to work collaboratively to improve the lives of Siaya residents.

He also urged administrators to hold barazas to inform the public about government projects and programs, since these forums are the conduit for valuable feedback.

Mr. Okello mentioned that there might be a reshuffle of administrators to ensure effective management and improve the quality of life in Siaya.

He highlighted that reshuffling would help the county achieve better economic empowerment for its citizens.

On his part, the Director Public Communication, Mr. Chrispine Omondi, requested the sub-County administrators to involve communication officers in their programs to boost publicity.

He emphasized the importance of covering these projects to inform voters, who should be aware of the developments in their Wards.

“We have enlightened voters who are our primary target audience; they should know the kinds of development being undertaken at the lowest units, without which, we are losing it.”

Mr. Omondi also proposed sending communication officers to the Wards and asked administrators to accommodate them.

“I want to send communication officers to your Wards and would want you to give them space in your offices so that whenever you have functions, they cover your events,” Said Mr. Omondi.

Ugunja Sub- County Administrator Isaak Achola supported the idea of involving communication officers to enhance the visibility of ongoing programs.

Present at the meeting were Benson Ouma Gwada, Ward Administrator for Usonga Ward, who represented Alego-Usonga SCA, North Sakwa Ward administrator Daniel Okong’o who stood in for Bondo Sub-county Administrator, Gem Sub-county Administrator Willis Oketch, and Ugunja Sub-county Administrator John-Paul Wanyasah.
