Orengo Changes Tone, Praises Broadbased Government at Oparanya Homecoming

Orengo was in the entourage of the president which travelled aboard the official presidential carrier, Airforce One. Struck by the magnanimity of the flight which had a stopover in Nandi County, Mr. Orengo said finally the country was getting to enjoy the fruits of unity.

“Leo umenipatia lift katika ile baiskeli yako, sijawahi kupanda hiyo baiskeli tukapitia uko Nandi and I could hear what the people there were saying. Wakiomba barabara wanaomba barabara ya kuwafikisha Kisumu. So it means Kenya we are one nation, one people, let’s work together and let us shame the devil” said Orengo.

Seen earlier on as the senior-most ODM Party politician to voice open criticism to the Ruto-Raila broadbased Government model, Orengo has changed his stance radically.

He had earlier on raised issues on the credibility of inclusion of ODM Party politicians into the government without due diligence to written contracts.

Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya who was Deputy Party leader of ODM was appointed by President Ruto as Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs development.

During the homecoming event held in Butere, Kakamega County Orengo praised the broad-based government for presenting Kenyans with and opportunity to unite and move together as professed in our National Anthem in the 3rd stanza- “Let all with one accord, In common bond united Build this our nation together, And the glory of Kenya The fruit of our labour Fill every heart with thanksgiving.”
