Civic activist Morara Kebaso was yesterday forced to ask his supporters to stop sending him money as he had reached the daily limit of his Mpesa allocation.
This happened on a day the government sponsored poorly managed Twitter hashtags in an effort to discredit the incisively thorough activist who has been exposing official scandals.
“Good evening. I thank you all for your contributions towards our mission. The Mpesa is full and the transaction limit has been exhausted. Kindly I request you to stop sending until tomorrow. Please.” Kebaso wrote on X.
Netizens have come out in large numbers to support the activist financially in his bid to buy a Presidential public address system priced at KES 1.2 Million and meant to educate the masses at the grassroots.
Kebaso now intends to not only film the exposés but also broadcast them live to the people affected in the vicinity of the scandals.
This has alarmed Government operatives as such a move could excite mass action besides making the activist immensely popular politically.
His Vampire Diaries series are gaining acceptance among Netizens who have urged Kebaso to get a paybill number since it does not have a daily limit.
