A woman in Eldoret has been arrested as a main suspect in the tragic stabbing to death of the husband.

Police officers arrested the middle-aged woman in connection with her husband’s stabbing death within the sprawling Huruma residential area.

Although details about what happened leading up to the fatal stabbing are scarce, neighbours described the couple’s relationship as troubled.

On Saturday night, they allegedly had a major falling out, with the woman attacking her husband with a kitchen knife, stabbing him, and killing him on the spot.

Police officers who responded to the incident moved the body of the deceased to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary as investigations begin.

Meanwhile the woman has been placed under lawful custody at the Eldoret Central Police Station as her processing for arraignment in court continues.
